We selected the team for Rigging because we needed specialist execution rather than a generic treatment. The brief called for a production-ready character rig for animation, and the execution showed strong awareness of joint placement, control usability, deformation quality, facial controls, and clean hierarchy. They were receptive to direction while also flagging requests that could weaken the final piece. By the end, we had a rig that was intuitive to animate and held up well through more demanding poses.

Managed 3D Rigging Services

Make your character model controllable, deformable and ready for animation

Character rigging is the technical bridge between a static mesh and an animatable digital actor. A usable rig combines a joint hierarchy, controls, constraints and skin weights so animators can move a model consistently without adjusting every vertex by hand. Rudrriv manages a defined rigging assignment, coordinates production specialists and checks that the result is practical for the intended workflow.

Our managed service suits animation studios, advertising teams, game developers, independent creators, virtual-production projects and product mascots. We focus on the supplied model's anatomy, articulation and animator needs; a biped with clean topology is not the same scope as a winged creature or facial-performance rig.

What is included in professional rigging?
  • Joint hierarchy: an organised armature with purposeful pivots and naming.
  • Skinning and weight painting: connect mesh deformation to skeletal movement and refine key areas.
  • Animator controls: basic IK or FK, or more advanced IK/FK switches and foot controls where scoped.
  • Facial motion: eye, mouth or expression controls where included in the selected tier.
  • Pose checks: inspect shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and other joints under representative poses.
  • Delivery: organised editable Blender project and agreed handoff notes or exports.
Prepare your character for rigging

Provide the model file (.blend or an agreed import format), textures and separate meshes if needed, along with the character's intended range of motion. Neutral T-pose or A-pose and animation-friendly topology usually reduce corrective work. Tell us if the rig must connect to existing animation, game-engine skeletons, motion capture or an established studio naming standard. Model creation, topology reconstruction, scripted integrations and export-specific validation are assessed separately.

How the managed rigging process works
01
Review the model

We inspect geometry, rest pose, technical constraints and motion requirements.

02
Plan & build controls

Rudrriv assigns suitable professionals to build hierarchy, controllers and skin weights.

03
Pose-test & refine

We check representative motion, deformation and animator feedback across revision rounds.

04
Handoff for production

You receive the agreed source firigging with a clear version and control overview.

What makes a rig production-ready?

The rig should be easy to select and pose, avoid unstable dependencies, deform predictably under representative motion and match the destination pipeline. Control naming, transform behaviour, joint limits and export expectations matter as much as visual appearance. High-fidelity facial work, cloth simulation, custom corrective blend shapes and game-engine retargeting can increase cost and require a separately documented scope.

Rigging: Frequently Asked Questions

Rigging builds a digital skeleton, skin weights and animation controls so a 3D character can be posed and animated. It connects the model geometry to a usable control system.
Send your finished 3D model, preferred software and version, reference poses or motion needs, target game engine or animation pipeline, and any existing skeleton or naming requirements.
Rudrriv packages start at ₹1,499 for a basic supplied humanoid model, ₹4,999 for a standard body-and-face setup, and ₹9,999 for a broader production rig. Complex anatomy or integration requires a scoped quote.
Typical estimates are 3–5 business days for Essential, 5–8 for Professional and 8–14 for Advanced after receiving a suitable model and an agreed brief. Complexity and feedback can change the schedule.
These packages cover rigging an existing model. Character modelling, retopology and major mesh repair are separate scopes and can be assessed before rigging begins.
The standard editable deliverable is a Blender .blend file. Maya, Unity or Unreal requirements, FBX export, retargeting and engine-specific compatibility checks must be confirmed in the brief before work starts.
Inverse kinematics (IK) makes a chain respond to an end control, useful for planted feet or hands. Forward kinematics (FK) rotates joints through a hierarchy, often preferred for arcs and swinging motion.
Essential focuses on body controls. Professional includes basic facial expression and eye controls; Advanced allows a more tailored facial control or blend-shape scope agreed upfront.
The team checks representative poses and refines skin weights within the agreed scope. Very extreme deformation can need extra corrective shapes or mesh changes, which are assessed separately.
Rigging and pose tests are included as stated. Full animation cycrigging, motion-capture cleanup and custom retargeting pipelines are separate services unless explicitly included in a custom quote.
You receive the agreed editable rig file and any explicitly scoped exports. Ownership and licences for your original character, third-party add-ons, model assets and plugins remain subject to their respective terms and the agreed project conditions.
Send consolidated feedback against the agreed controls, poses and deformation requirements. Packages include two, three or four revision rounds respectively; material scope changes are quoted separately.

The Rigging engagement started with a fairly rough brief, but the team helped turn it into a workable production plan. The team developed a production-ready character rig for animation with strong judgment around joint placement, control usability, deformation quality, facial controls, and clean hierarchy. They followed our requirements while still introducing a few improvements we had not considered. Milestones were simple to review, and revision rounds stayed controlled even when priorities shifted. The result was a rig that was intuitive to animate and held up well through more demanding poses.

We were pleased with how the Rigging work held together once all of the revisions were incorporated. They produced a production-ready character rig for animation while keeping a close eye on joint placement, control usability, deformation quality, facial controls, and clean hierarchy. Early versions improved steadily through feedback without becoming overworked or losing the original intent. Delivery stayed on schedule, and open questions were resolved quickly. The result was a rig that was intuitive to animate and held up well through more demanding poses.

We came into the Rigging project with strong preferences, and the team worked within them without making the result feel restricted. The work centered on a production-ready character rig for animation, with especially careful attention to joint placement, control usability, deformation quality, facial controls, and clean hierarchy. Communication stayed clear, and requested changes were incorporated without weakening the overall direction. The final handoff was practical and clearly prepared for the next stage. The result was a rig that was intuitive to animate and held up well through more demanding poses. The rig file was cleanly structured and easy for our animators to pick up.

Our Rigging brief had several moving parts, but the process stayed focused. The team translated our requirements into a production-ready character rig for animation, and we especially valued the attention to joint placement, control usability, deformation quality, facial controls, and clean hierarchy. They responded quickly to comments and were comfortable explaining when a requested change would create a weaker result. That made approvals easier and kept the production moving. The result was a rig that was intuitive to animate and held up well through more demanding poses.

The Rigging work benefited from the team's willingness to ask the right questions before building too far ahead. The scope centered on a production-ready character rig for animation. They asked sensible questions early and paid close attention to joint placement, control usability, deformation quality, facial controls, and clean hierarchy. That preparation reduced unnecessary revision rounds and gave us more confidence in the choices being made. The work never felt templated or disconnected from our actual use case. The result was a rig that was intuitive to animate and held up well through more demanding poses.

The final Rigging delivery was the result of a well-managed process rather than a last-minute polish pass. The team considered joint placement, control usability, deformation quality, facial controls, and clean hierarchy throughout the work on a production-ready character rig for animation. Comments were tracked properly, and each revision improved the piece without drifting away from the brief. The project closed cleanly, with no confusion about versions or final deliverabrigging. The result was a rig that was intuitive to animate and held up well through more demanding poses. The rig file was cleanly structured and easy for our animators to pick up.
